Today, November 23, 2015, the Davis Street Student Council met to assemble care packages for the Saint Thomas More at Yale Soup Kitchen visitors to take with their Thanksgiving meal on Thursday. All council members, in grades 3-8, did an amazing job assembling care packages with items such as deodorant, chap stick, hand lotion and snacks, and including personalized notes for each one. They wrote very thoughtful and kind words to the soup kitchen visitors and even drew beautiful illustrations. These will surely put a smile on their faces on Thursday. We look forward to visiting the soup kitchen for our first trip in January to meet some of these wonderful community members and give back to those in need.
